Mystic Kundalini
I first learned about Kundalini in November 2013 from the book “Tantra: Yoga with a partner” by Lev Ivanovich Teternikov.
The concept of Kundalini takes central focus in both yoga and tantra, that's why the book has devoted a whole chapter to the most powerful energy in the human body, resting at the base of the spinal cord. “It is so powerful that when it awakens it can completely transform a person. The awakened Kundalini makes it possible for manifestations of siddh - unusual abilities in humans. It’s not only an intuitive comprehension of the truth and clairvoyance, but also a control of gravity, and the possibility to manifest other actions, the mechanism of which cannot be explained using the modern scientific paradigm and modern scientific views of the world” - Teternikov writes.
The author describes in colorful details many people’s experiences, through which they passed during Kundalini awakening. At the time this information seemed interesting, but for me absolutely useless, because:
1. “Kundalini can wake up and rise as a result of many years of spiritual practice” - the book said. “Therefore, it is necessary not to awaken the Kundalini, but to prepare for its awakening. Purify the mental and physical body, learn to work with energy. The road to Kundalini is prepared by humility, perhaps, by the practice of meditation, Pranayamprayer, and Asan, serving people, as Christians say, for the glory of God". I didn’t possess years of spiritual practice at the time, and, as a matter of fact, didn’t intend to acquire it. And in general, it all seemed too difficult.
2. “Kundalini is so attractive that often modern yoga followers lose common sense if they are promised to wake and raise it”. I wasn't going to lose common sense because of it. Also, there wasn't anyone I know that offered me to wake my Kundalini.
I thought this information was useless for now although it was at that moment I planted the seed in my brain that prepared me for the spontaneous awakening of Kundalini five months later in April 2014. In my Article “Contagious Squirting” I said about the benefits of learning from other people’s experiences, and how the lack of timely information can ruin even the most wonderful experience.
“It is known that a spontaneous rise of Kundalini in unprepared people causes psychophysical disturbances and sometimes ends in special clinics” - Teternikov sais. And “the elementary lack of knowledge among neuropathologists and the so called “specialists in mental illness” is multiplying the ranks of schizophrenics”. I can unambiguously confirm that an awakened Kundalini really takes the brain and shifts the consciousness to such an extent, that without all this preliminary information, I could have got myself into a psychiatric hospital and join the ranks of those same schizophrenics.
KUNDALINI AND SPIRITUALITY
“It is common to associate spirituality and Kundalini in Yoga. Moreover, in some schools, it is believed that the rise of Kundalini automatically makes the person almost sacred, that the spirituality depends on the rise of Kundalini. St. Ramakrishna said that it is impossible to awaken the spiritual consciousness of a person up to Kundalini awakens. And Gopi Krishna, a teacher from Kashmir, a modern recognized master of Kundalini, believes that Kundalini is a fundamental evolutionary mechanism that causes all mental and spiritual phenomena, it is a motor that moves all bioenergy in the human body”.
Different schools and different yoga and martial arts trends use many techniques in order to wake the Kundalini. It's awakening mostly as a result of many years of spiritual practice. In my case everything happened the other way around: my spiritual path began from the spontaneous awakening of Kundalini! “And although it is in our body, but belongs to the “other” world, the world of God, the world of the reality of continuous informational energy”. During the awakening, I really felt connected to the “other” world, to the Absolute, God, the Higher Self, Unity (All these fancy words, as I thought before, acquired a tangible meaning to me). I felt with all my senses the feeling of all-consuming divine ecstasy, love, bliss, happiness, joy, inner peace, unity with the world and cosmic harmony, I seemed to surrender myself to the energy of the Holy Spirit.
KUNDALINI AND SEX
“The divine power of Kundalini is directly related to the energy of creation, the sexual energy. The rise of Kundalini is most often accompanied by ecstatic joy, sexual arousal, or deeper pleasure. In women, it can cause ecstatic and deep orgasm”. I can confirm every word from my own experience. About my experience of waking Kundalini read the article ”How It Happened”.
